Flowers such as rose and jasmine are going to form the middle notes. The base notes are leather, musk, and a few more woods.
2. Mon Guerlain
Vanilla is going to be the heavy note that you pick up from Mon Guerlain. This female perfume goes heavy on it.
Other base notes include licorice and sandalwood. To give Mon Guerlain a bit more of a romantic feel, you will be able to catch some rose and jasmine in the middle notes.

Caramel and vanilla help to form the base notes of this Guerlain perfume. To us, it helps to give the perfume a scent that is very similar to fudge, although it will barely be a hint.
Rose, jasmine, and iris as the middle notes help to give the perfume a flowery feel. Interestingly, this perfume adds a dash of vetiver, which you rarely find in perfumes nowadays.
Orange and bergamot will be the top notes. The best Guerlain perfumes seem to be heavy fans of bergamot, after all.
5. La Petite Robe Noire
Vanilla and anise form the base of this female perfume. We find that while the scent can be pretty light, there is a touch of darkness behind it.
We don’t know about you, but dark perfumes have always been our thing. This darkness is boosted by the addition of licorice as one of the middle notes.
However, to ensure that this perfume is not entirely dark, the middle notes also have some rose added. Just to add that flowery touch. Top notes are various berries, bergamot, and almonds.
6. L’Instant De Guerlain
Floral notes help to dominate the L’Instant de Guerlain perfume. Magnolia and Iris are the most numerous in the middle notes.
The base notes are going to be all about honey, musk, and a dash of vanilla. At the top of the perfume, you have apples and oranges for a very fruity feel.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Guerlain perfume if the top notes weren’t rounded out with a dash of bergamot. You may be able to catch some sweet and powdery tones here.
7. Insolence
Violet and powdery is the best way to describe Insolence. As the name suggests, this perfume does have a darker tone to it, but there is still a small amount of lightness there.
None of the Guerlain perfumes really go overboard when it comes to the darkness. Musk, sandalwood, and a bit of Iris will be your base notes.
As you work your way up the chain, you will be able to see hints of berries, bergamot, and flowers such as rose and a lot of violets.
8. Champs Elysees
Fresh and flowery is probably the best way to describe this one of the best Guerlain perfumes. The perfume is very complicated, with the middle notes being dominated by several flowers, around half a dozen, in fact.
This includes the likes of lily of the valley, mimosa, lilac, rose, and hibiscus. This is all on top of base notes of sandalwood, cedar, and vanilla.
The top notes are melons, peaches, almonds, violet, and anise. This is one of the rare perfumes from Guerlain that does not have bergamot.
9. L’Instant Magic
L’Instant Magic is a female perfume with a powdery note to it. This comes from a base of cedar, sandalwood, almond, iris, and vanilla.
The middle notes are a bit different from what you may often find in perfumes from this company. You do have your roses and violet.
However, you also have a mimosa, carnations, and freesia. The top notes are basic. Just some bergamot and lemon, with a hint of anise thrown in for good measure.
10. L’Heure Bleue
Powdery and spiciness are the name of the game here. We can’t mention all of the notes because there are a lot of them. Unique additions to this perfume include a dash of orchid, neroli, and cloves.
Base notes include cedar, benzoin, and vanilla. The top notes are very citrusy (bet you can’t guess one of the notes there!) with some coriander for a bit of an edge.
11. Idylle
The base notes of Idylle are rather simple. You just have musk with a bit of patchouli. As you start working your way up the layers, you will be introduced to a lot of white flowers.
This includes white lily, jasmine, and lily of the forest. Freesia, rose, and raspberry sits as your top notes.
12. Mitsouko
Various spices and cinnamon help to create the base notes of Mitsouko Eau de Toilette. This gives this perfume a very earthy feel.
That earthy feel is enhanced by middle notes of peaches, ylang-ylang, rose, and jasmine. The top notes are various citrus fruits. There is even more jasmine in the top notes.
13. L’Homme Ideal
Sweet and spicy. Perhaps the best way to describe this male perfume. As with most fragrances aimed at men, woods dominate the base notes. There will also be a hint of leather.
Thyme and rosemary sit at the top, alongside almonds and various spices. Unlike many male perfumes, it adds the likes of lavender and rose to give it a more floral feel.
